Asset Protection Supervisor at Hermès Meatpacking in New York, NY. Full-time role overseeing retail security and asset protection operations in luxury fashion retail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Train, coach, and supervise Asset Protection Associates to ensure awareness, compliance, and professional presentation
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to maintain physical security and protect merchandise, equipment, and fixtures
- Manage violation and incident reporting, documentation, and follow-up investigations
- Execute scheduled audits and maintain accurate documentation of compliance results
- Review daily Cegid POS reports for operational discrepancies including negatives, voids, returns, and quota items
- Supervise all off-site sales (public and employee) and ensure proper documentation accompanies merchandise leaving the premises
- Maintain and manage all Asset Protection equipment including radios, key systems, CCTV, and Protex systems
- Review safe logs and manage key audits and control
- Conduct safety inspections and communicate identified hazards to local management
- Enforce physical access controls for associates and visitors
- Coordinate with floor management in the absence of the Asset Protection Manager
- Provide monthly scheduling and supervision of Asset Protection Associate paid time off
- Lead Asset Protection awareness education during daily and weekly store meetings through public presentations
- Review and ensure compliance with Asset Protection Policies and Procedures across all store operations
- Report theft and suspicious incidents to Asset Protection Manager and coordinate with local law enforcement as needed
- Participate in monthly damage meetings with Asset Protection Manager and Operations Director
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of Asset Protection, retail, or managerial experience
- 8-hour Pre-Assignment and 16-hour On-the-Job security training certificates (mandatory in New York)
- New York State Security License (mandatory for NYC positions)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the facility
- Capability to lift and handle merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs without assistance
- Proficiency in operating all required equipment and systems
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Credibility, trustworthiness, and service-oriented mindset

Experience
1–2 years of Asset Protection, retail management, or related supervisory experience in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Security training certification (8-hour Pre-Assignment and 16-hour On-the-Job training) and New York State Security License mandatory for this position.
