Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct post coverage and inventory security audits to protect stock and monitor for discrepancies
  • Provide associate compliance training and education in Asset Protection awareness protocols and company policies
  • Report and investigate violations and security incidents; coordinate with local law enforcement and regional management when necessary
  • Perform routine facility inspections to ensure physical security and identify hazards; communicate concerns to local management
  • Manage and supervise outsourced security guards and coordinate their daily activities
  • Monitor associate adherence to Asset Protection guidelines including merchandise display limits, key management, and proper package documentation procedures
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation of all audits, inspections, and security-related records
  • Control facility access for associates and visitors; enforce Policy and Procedure compliance
  • Conduct monthly reviews and touchpoints with Asset Protection Manager and associates to address training needs and outstanding security concerns
  • Review daily transaction reports (Cegid system) for irregularities including negatives, voids, returns, and quota-related items
  • Supervise all off-site sales events—both public and employee—to ensure asset security
  • Manage key audits and safe log reviews; maintain proper documentation and chain of custody
  • Partner with floor management during periods of Asset Protection Manager absence
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of asset protection or retail security experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 8-hour pre-assignment and 16-hour on-the-job training certificates (Security License mandatory in New York only)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle merchandise, including lifting and movement
  • Proficiency in operating all equipment necessary to perform the role
