Hermès Asset Protection Specialist in New York: enforce company security policies, manage loss prevention, and protect assets at flagship Madison Avenue boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide post coverage and stock security across all facility areas
- Conduct compliance audits and maintain comprehensive asset protection documentation
- Investigate and report all violations, incidents, and suspected theft to Asset Protection Manager and local law enforcement
- Perform routine facility inspections to ensure physical security and proper control of merchandise and company assets
- Supervise and manage outsourced security guard personnel
- Enforce company policy and procedure regarding asset protection guidelines and associate compliance
- Control and monitor access of associates and visitors to secure areas
- Conduct daily review of transaction reports (Cegid) and report anomalies to management
- Supervise all off-site sales activities including public and employee events
- Review and maintain audit trails including key management, safe logs, and security records
- Conduct safety inspections and communicate identified hazards to local management
- Coordinate monthly reviews with Asset Protection Manager and other specialists on training and outstanding concerns
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of asset protection or retail security experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 8-hour pre-assignment and 16-hour on-the-job training certificates; Security License mandatory in New York
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise
- Ability to operate security equipment and access control systems

Skills
Experience
1–3 years of asset protection, loss prevention, or retail security experience preferred. Prior experience with retail boutique operations, luxury goods, or high-value merchandise security is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. 8-hour Pre-Assignment and 16-hour On-The-Job training certificates required; New York State Security License mandatory for New York locations.
