The Asset Protection Specialist supports the Asset Protection Manager at the Hermès Miami Flagship Boutique in safeguarding company assets, personnel, and premises through enforcement of security policies, risk mitigation, and compliance oversight. The role encompasses inventory protection, associate training, security audits, and incident reporting using cutting-edge technology and established protocols. This position reports to the Asset Protection Manager and partners with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the safety and security standards required across retail, corporate, and warehouse operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct stock security and maintain post coverage to protect merchandise and assets from loss
  • Deliver associate compliance training and Asset Protection awareness education to all boutique personnel
  • Document and report violations, incidents, and theft to the Asset Protection Manager and appropriate law enforcement
  • Perform routine audits and inspections of the facility, maintaining accurate records and delivering comprehensive documentation of findings
  • Conduct safety inspections and communicate identified hazards to local management for immediate remediation
  • Enforce access controls and security policies for employees and visitors to ensure physical security
  • Monitor daily Cegid sales reports for anomalies including negatives, voids, returns, and quota items; escalate concerns to Asset Protection Manager
  • Supervise all off-site sales activities—both public and employee—to prevent unauthorized loss or security breaches
  • Manage and oversee outsourced security guard personnel to ensure alignment with company protocols
  • Execute key audits and safe management procedures, including safe log reviews
  • Serve as floor management partnership support during Asset Protection Manager absence
  • Execute ad hoc duties assigned by supervisor to support broader operational security objectives

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 8-hour Pre-Assignment and 16-hour On-the-Job training certificates
  • Security License (mandatory in New York only)
  • 1–3 years of Asset Protection or retail security experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise
  • Competency with security equipment and systems
  • Adaptability and credibility in maintaining trust
  • Results-driven orientation with service commitment
  • Regular in-person presence at the designated work location required

Experience

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 26 to USD 29 per hour.
