Hermès seeks an Artworks Display Assistant (Intern) in Paris — internship in Visual Merchandising (Sept 2026–Feb 2027), supporting in‑store artworks décor and installations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the Artworks Décors Project Manager on in‑store artworks décor projects, ensuring installations align with store architectural concepts and brand narrative.
- Prepare zoning proposals for artwork placement on architectural plans and produce PowerPoint presentations to illustrate recommended hangings for projects (typically <700 m²).
- Analyse store plans and collaborate with Architecture/Real Estate teams to identify key inspirations and potential locations for artworks in new and renovated stores including Travel Retail.
- Research and select works from the Maison’s internal art collections to conceive singular, generous décors with local references.
- Estimate production and logistics budgets for each décor and draft technical briefs for printing, framing and hanging directed to local real estate teams.
- Coordinate with Heritage/Patrimoine teams to enrich curatorial choices and collect hanging reports to support artwork inventory and récolement.
Qualifications
- Education in interior architecture, scenography, exhibition design or equivalent.
- Artistic sensitivity with a demonstrable interest in curatorial display and object presentation.
- Practical experience in managing artistically driven projects within retail or exhibition environments.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
- Autonomous, organised and dynamic with strong interpersonal skills to animate transversal projects; rigorous and reliable.

Experience
Prior project experience in artistic or exhibition contexts is required, preferably within a retail environment; internships, academic projects or professional roles demonstrating involvement in display, installation or curatorial work are acceptable.
Education
Degree or equivalent training in interior architecture, scenography, exhibition design or related discipline.
