Hermès — Paris: Archives and Documentation Intern (full-time internship, 3–4 months) in the Archives & Documentation department.
Overview

Role & Responsibilities
- Process and arrange institutional archival fonds following archival principles and the department’s classification system.
- Create and update descriptive records and metadata within the department’s database to ensure discoverability and long-term access.
- Handle, condition-assess and prepare documents, images and other media for storage, digitization or consultation, respecting conservation requirements.
- Support digitization workflows and quality control for visual and textual assets as required by the service.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the Documentation team under the direction of the Director of Archives and Documentation.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in university-level training (Licence 3, Master 1 or Master 2) in Information/Documentation, Archives, Digital Humanities, art history, economic/institutional history or related humanities fields.
- First professional experience or internship in an archives or documentation environment is desirable; beginners are accepted.
- Excellent organisational skills, methodical approach and high standards of accuracy.
- A strong interest in art, decorative arts and luxury products, with a service-oriented mindset and respect for confidentiality.
- Ability to work full-time for the duration of the internship and to collaborate in a small, specialised team.

Experience
Open to students currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programmes; prior internship or work experience in documentation, archives or cultural heritage is an advantage but not required.
Education
Current student in Licence 3, Master 1 or Master 2 in Information/Documentation, Archives, Digital Humanities, art history, history or literature.
