Hennessy in Cognac seeks a Wine Tourism Sales Advisor (seasonal contract) to deliver exceptional visitor experiences during summer 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional, personalised visitor experience across boutique, bar and terrace tasting settings, embodying Hennessy’s heritage and values.
- Welcome and advise a local and international clientele, convert visits into retail sales and maximise average basket and revenue performance.
- Present and conduct structured tasting rituals to showcase the range of Hennessy cognacs.
- Manage point-of-sale transactions, cash handling and apply tax‑free (détaxe) procedures where applicable.
- Contribute to stock management and inventory follow-up; ensure adherence to security and sales procedures.
- Respond to and resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally, in person and by phone.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and management to achieve team commercial targets and KPIs.
Qualifications
- Bac+2 in Commerce, Tourism or Hospitality / Food & Beverage OR minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in retail, tourism or luxury hospitality.
- Fluent in French and English; proficiency in an additional language is an advantage.
- Availability for the 2026 high season contract (29 June–15 August 2026) and ability to work full‑time on site in Cognac.
- Strong retail orientation with proven cash‑handling and point‑of‑sale experience.
- Professional presentation, excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine hospitality mindset.

Open to entry-level candidates; ideally holds a Bac+2 or brings at least two years’ experience in retail, tourism, hospitality or comparable customer-facing roles within luxury or premium food & beverage.
Education
Bac+2 (Commerce, Tourism, Hospitality / Hôtellerie-Restauration) or equivalent.
Workplace
The role is situated in Cognac, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France — conveniently close to Bordeaux.
