Hennessy in Cognac seeks a Receptionist (Château de Bagnolet) — temporary, on-site role in hospitality. Entry-level position; English required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and register guests; ensure a warm, professional arrival experience.
- Coordinate and follow up on guest itineraries and daily programmes during their stay.
- Plan and manage room allocations and maintain weekly room schedules.
- Prepare and communicate night‑shift schedules for the night porter and perform room checks.
- Act as primary liaison between the reservations team and the château operations.
- Communicate guest information and requests to service teams and ensure handovers.
- Produce daily menus, chevalets and welcome notes; organise guest gifts.
- Answer telephone enquiries, manage incoming mail and supervise deliveries and gate access.
- Arrange guest transport when required (taxi bookings, train ticket changes, etc.).
- Lead or contribute to operational projects: formalise safety procedures, create welcome booklets, compile supplier and driver directories, standardise product and cocktail sheets, and digitise internal documents.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of hotel or hospitality operations.
- Good computer literacy and ability to format digital documents.
- English required; additional languages are an advantage.
- Organised, rigorous, reliable and able to multitask.
- Excellent presentation and high standards of guest service.
- Calm under pressure with strong stress management and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible availability including days, evenings and weekends.

Entry‑level. Suitable for candidates in an alternance/apprenticeship or recent graduates in hospitality; prior front‑desk or customer‑facing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Enrolled in or holding a vocational qualification in hospitality, tourism or hotel management (vocational certificate, BTS or equivalent); alternance/apprenticeship candidates encouraged.
