Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and register arriving guests; ensure a professional, courteous first impression.
- Facilitate guests’ stays and follow the programme of visits and activities; act as the primary point of contact for visitor logistics.
- Plan and allocate rooms; maintain and update weekly room and shift schedules, including night‑shift planning.
- Serve as the operational link between reservations and château teams; communicate guest requirements and special requests to service personnel.
- Manage front‑desk operations: answer telephones, handle incoming/outgoing mail, open/secure the gate and supervise deliveries.
- Organise guest transport when required (taxis, train changes, chauffeur coordination) and oversee arrival/departure procedures, welcome notes and presentation of gifts.
- Perform room verifications and quality checks prior to guest arrival.
- Prepare daily menus, chevalets and day‑of service documentation.
- Contribute to defined projects: formalise procedures (guest and staff safety instructions, night‑watch instructions), create welcome booklets and product/cocktail fiches, compile supplier and driver directories, and digitise project deliverables.
Qualifications
- Enrolment in an accredited hospitality apprenticeship or vocational training programme (required).
- Basic knowledge of hotel/front‑office operations.
- Good computer literacy and comfortable using office software and reservation systems.
- Professional working proficiency in English (minimum requirement).
- Organised, rigorous and reliable with strong attention to detail.
- Polished personal presentation and high standards of guest service.
- Calm under pressure with proven stress‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
- Flexible availability including days, evenings and weekends.

Experience
Entry‑level; suitable for candidates at the beginning of their hospitality career. Prior customer‑facing or hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
