Hennessy in Cognac seeks a Packaging Procurement Intern — support RFQs, negotiations and supplier performance in the packaging purchasing team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the end‑to‑end packaging procurement process for new articles, products and services.
- Launch supplier consultations (RFQ) and participate in commercial negotiations to meet cost, quality and lead‑time objectives.
- Perform comparative offer analyses including total cost of ownership (TCO), commercial terms and supplier risk assessment.
- Contribute to final negotiation rounds in coordination with Category Buyers and assist in awarding contracts and setting tariff conditions.
- Initialize pricing in procurement systems to trigger replenishment and monitor contractual commitments and supplier performance.
- Report procurement activity using Per Angusta and contribute to KPI tracking.
- Analyse cost drivers and cost structures and participate in value analysis initiatives.
- Develop and improve procurement tools and participate in benchmarking on market, suppliers and packaging innovations.
- Contribute to knowledge management by documenting best practices and supporting cross‑functional projects linked to the three‑year purchasing roadmap.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (category buyers, development, supply chain, quality, sustainability) and external national and international suppliers.
Qualifications
- Higher education in business, engineering or university program with a specialization in purchasing / supply chain (école de commerce, école d'ingénieur or equivalent).
- Strong interest in industrial environments and packaging materials (glass, board, labels, etc.).
- Appetite for negotiation and data analysis; rigorous and results oriented.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a variety of interlocutors.
- Proficiency in Excel; prior exposure to a procurement tool such as Per Angusta is a plus.
- Professional working proficiency in English.

Experience
Beginner level. No extensive professional experience required; prior internships or academic projects in procurement, sourcing or supply chain — especially related to packaging — are advantageous.
Education
Ongoing higher education (business school, engineering school or university) with a focus on purchasing or supply chain.
