Hennessy Apprentice HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) role in Cognac, France – 2-year programme in production safety management.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with operational teams across four production sites to ensure workplace safety, employee wellbeing, and environmental protection
  • Actively promote and develop a strong safety culture by driving HSE best practices across bottling and logistics operations
  • Participate in designing and delivering HSE awareness-raising and training content for incoming temporary workers and trainees
  • Identify, document, and escalate dangerous situations and potential hazards through structured incident reporting
  • Conduct internal HSE audits and support the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
  • Assume ownership of monitoring and risk assessment for an assigned production area or line over defined periods
  • Lead HSE project initiatives as determined during the apprenticeship programme, with scope refined during the learning cycle
  • Facilitate HSE induction sessions for new personnel, ensuring compliance with established rules and procedures

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or completing a Master's degree programme in QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment) or HSE
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver's license (category B) for inter-site travel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within collaborative teams
