Hennessy in Cognac is recruiting an Apprentice Logistics Assistant (Finished Goods) to support KPIs, operations and AI-enabled warehouse systems.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Finished Goods Logistics Supervisor in daily operational management: activity monitoring, coordination and prioritisation.
- Contribute to mapping, structuring and analysis of logistics data for the high-bay warehouse and automated installations.
- Define, monitor and evolve operational KPIs; follow up on indicators and analyse performance variances.
- Participate in optimisation of flows, resources and tools and in preparation and tracking of operational action plans.
- Investigate anomalies in systems and material flows; propose corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Draft specifications and liaise with vendors during project and corrective-work exchanges.
- Discover and use AI-enabled logistics tools; contribute to defining new use cases and foster a data-driven culture.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bac+4/Bac+5 engineering programme or equivalent university cursus with specialisation in Industrial Engineering, Production Management or Logistics (apprenticeship contract).
- Permis B (valid driver’s licence) required.
- Strong appetite for data analysis and an interest in AI applications for logistics.
- Analytical mindset, rigorous problem-solving and capacity to work in cross-functional, operational environments.
Skills
Experience
Beginner level — suitable for a Bac+4/Bac+5 student entering via an apprenticeship. Prior internships or experience in logistics, manufacturing or warehouse operations are advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Bac+4 / Bac+5 in an engineering school or equivalent university degree, oriented towards Industrial Engineering, Production Management or Logistics.
Workplace
This position is based in Cognac, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, within easy reach of Bordeaux.
