Hennessy Cognac seeks DCG Accounting Apprentice in Cognac, France. Two-year apprenticeship combining AP processing, SAP, and financial operations training.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive, digitize, and validate supplier invoices using SCAN software and KOFAX data capture systems, verifying tier information, invoice/credit note details, and dates
- Review invoices for mandatory information, recoverable VAT, general ledger and analytical accounting coding, inter-company codes, and payment terms
- Process SCAN workflows to obtain necessary approvals and validations
- Reconcile and validate invoices in SAP against received purchase orders for payment processing and record invoices without purchase orders following authorization
- Manage supplier inquiries and track payment follow-ups
- Scan supplier invoices for other accounting team members as daily priorities dictate
- File, classify, and archive current accounting dossiers
- Prepare documentation for statutory auditors and respond to audit queries
- Prepare monthly payment maturity analysis and present performance indicators at continuous improvement meetings during the second year
- Support other accounting functions as operational needs require
Qualifications
- Pursuing or enrolled in a DCG (Diplôme de Comptabilité et de Gestion) program with a two-year commitment
- Rigorous, well-organized approach with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative team-working skills
- Demonstrable curiosity, discretion, and commitment to continuous learning
- Proficiency with office software tools
