Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performing team responsible for all transaction processing through point-of-sale systems, maintaining operational excellence and delivering best-in-class service
- Ensure strict compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) laws, GDPR, KYC frameworks, sanctions and PEP screening requirements, and transaction monitoring processes
- Collaborate closely with Security and Compliance teams to maintain preventive measures and safeguard customers, brands, and Harrods' reputation
- Analyse transaction data, trends, and feedback from retail teams and customers to continuously refine processes and identify emerging risks
- Inspire, develop, and coach team members through clear goal setting, performance coaching, and a focus on resilience to ensure consistent delivery under pressure
- Build and maintain relationships across the business, translating complex compliance and regulatory information into clear, actionable insights for both specialist and non-specialist audiences
- Monitor regulatory changes and embed best practice into all transaction service processes to maintain the highest compliance standards
- Combine day-to-day operational delivery with strategic thinking to strengthen business resilience and position Transaction Services as a competitive advantage for in-house brands
Qualifications
- Proven experience in transaction management and processing within banking or financial services
- Deep knowledge of AML compliance, GDPR, KYC frameworks, sanctions screening, PEP screening, and transaction monitoring
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in fast-changing, regulatory-heavy environments
- Strong data-driven mindset with ability to identify risks and streamline processes using analytical insights
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all business levels
- Commercial acumen with understanding of luxury retail and how compliance can drive competitive advantage

Proven experience in transaction services, banking, or financial services with direct responsibility for handling high-value transactions and managing compliance frameworks. Demonstrated track record of leading and developing teams in regulated environments, with a strong understanding of evolving compliance requirements and the ability to embed regulatory best practice across operations.
