Harrods, one of the world's foremost luxury department stores, seeks a Transaction Assistant to join its Private Shopping Operations team. The successful candidate will process complex transactions, manage packaging and dispatch, and complete financial documentation whilst delivering seamless support to the Private Shopping team in a fast-paced Knightsbridge environment. Candidates must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proficiency with point-of-sale systems, multi-currency knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-volume setting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process complex transactions at point of sale with detailed systems and till knowledge
- Manage packaging and dispatch operations whilst maintaining quality and accuracy
- Complete financial paperwork for audit and security compliance
- Investigate and arrange dispatch quotes for local and international delivery through specialist teams
- Facilitate specialized processes including alterations, dynamic currency conversion, gift wrap, and engraving
- Log and track goods appropriately, including items on approval, bank transfers, gift card sales, and transaction services
- Provide impartial central support to the Private Shopping team whilst upholding Harrods values and policies
- Resolve operational issues and queries in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate clearly with colleagues across all channels to provide comprehensive team support

- Demonstrable experience in transaction processing and operational procedures
- Proven ability to deliver seamless support in a fast-paced luxury retail environment
- Knowledge of multiple currencies and payment processing methodologies
