Harrods seeks Senior Shift Technician in Knightsbridge, London. Lead HV electrical and building services operations on rotating shift pattern.
Role & Responsibilities
- Safely operate, maintain and isolate critical electrical and mechanical systems to ensure reliable provision of power and essential services across the business
- Carry out High Voltage switching activities and support planned maintenance shutdowns whilst maintaining relevant operational authorisations and certifications
- Monitor and maintain water management systems, ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory requirements
- Support the management of asset registers, planned preventative maintenance schedules and engineering systems to drive operational efficiency and compliance
- Provide technical expertise, supervise contractors when required and contribute to continuous improvement, sustainability initiatives and energy-saving projects across the estate
- Promote a strong health and safety culture through effective risk assessment, method statement reviews and adherence to industry best practice
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating and maintaining complex electrical and mechanical building services systems
- High Voltage experience and relevant technical qualifications with the ability to maintain operational authorisations as required
- Strong understanding of relevant engineering standards, regulations and health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Skills
Experience
Proven experience as an engineering professional with a strong technical background in the maintenance and operation of critical building services infrastructure. Demonstrated expertise in operating and maintaining complex electrical and mechanical systems, with specific experience in High Voltage switching and maintenance shutdown support.
Education
Relevant technical qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering (specific certifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent in building services engineering preferred).
