Harrods' Interior Design team seeks an experienced Senior Interior Designer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead the delivery of luxury, bespoke interior design projects from concept through installation. Reporting to the Design Manager, the successful candidate will oversee multiple high-end projects whilst managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relationships, with responsibility for mentoring junior designers and ensuring design integrity across all phases of completion.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple luxury interior design projects from inception through completion
- Create and oversee high-quality design packages including technical drawings, specifications, and bespoke joinery documentation
- Present and communicate design concepts confidently to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to meet commercial and quality targets
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure products are specified accurately and delivered on time
- Conduct site visits to maintain design integrity and quality standards throughout project execution
- Oversee bespoke design elements including FF&E and custom joinery
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, supporting their professional development
Qualifications
- Proven extensive experience in luxury or high-end interior design
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex projects end-to-end, including budget and timeline management
- Strong technical proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Portfolio of luxury and/or high-end interior design projects required for application
