Harrods is recruiting a part-time Private Shopping Waiter on a 12-month fixed-term contract to join its elite Penthouse and Private Service Suite team. The successful candidate will deliver personalised hospitality to the retailer's most exclusive clientele, preparing and serving premium beverages whilst maintaining the impeccable standards that define luxury shopping. This role requires flexibility to work predominantly across weekends, combining beverage expertise, silver service proficiency, and an unwavering commitment to discretion and client satisfaction.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised, attentive service to Harrods' most discerning clientele within the Penthouse and Private Service Suite
- Prepare and serve premium beverages, including artisan coffee, champagne, and bespoke cocktails, alongside light refreshments
- Maintain immaculate presentation and elegance of luxury lounges and service areas throughout service periods
- Anticipate and respond to client requests with professionalism, discretion, and confidence
- Execute mise-en-place duties before and after service to ensure operational excellence and seamless transitions
- Build meaningful client relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food and beverage service within luxury hospitality environments such as hotels, fine dining establishments, or high-end events
- Demonstrated knowledge of mixology, barista skills, or silver service standards
- Ability to seamlessly transition between bartender and waiter responsibilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining luxury service standards
- Comfort working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with active physical demands
Skills
Experience
Experience in food and beverage service, ideally within luxury hotels, fine dining, or premium event hospitality. Demonstrated proficiency in beverage service including coffee preparation, champagne service, and cocktail creation.
