Harrods seeks a dedicated Cleaning Operative to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the iconic Knightsbridge store. Working night shifts (8pm–5am), this full-time role involves managing all cleaning and waste operations across public and back-of-house areas, responding promptly to emergencies, and maintaining safety standards to ensure an impeccable shopping environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a proactive, responsible approach to facility management.
Role & Responsibilities
- Handle, transport, and store cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform regular cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and polishing
- Address spills, stains, and emergency situations such as floods or incidents with minimal disruption to customers
- Maintain washrooms in a clean, well-stocked, and hygienic condition at all times
- Maintain a safe and organized cleaning cupboard and monitor stock levels
Qualifications
