Harrods seeks an exceptional Assistant Manager to lead beauty retail operations at its H beauty store in Glasgow, part of a nationwide network spanning Lakeside, Gateshead, Milton Keynes, Chester, Glasgow and Edinburgh. This role places emphasis on delivering elevated customer experiences, coaching teams to excel in a fast-paced beauty environment, and driving commercial success through operational excellence and strategic collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead with presence and set the tone for service standards, pace and professionalism across the beauty department
- Coach and develop team members to deliver elevated customer journeys and maintain consistent everyday performance
- Utilize data and business insights to understand performance metrics and act decisively to drive commercial results
- Champion operational excellence across visual merchandising presentation, stock flow management and implementation of best practices
- Collaborate effectively with Sales Managers and wider business functions to support strategic initiatives that shape the future of H beauty
- Anticipate market opportunities and uphold exceptional standards that reflect Harrods' luxury positioning
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within retail or luxury beauty
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in high-performance environments
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of retail KPIs and performance management
- Exceptional interpersonal and coaching skills with emotional intelligence
- Track record of delivering elevated customer service standards
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in retail management, ideally within beauty, luxury or selective retailing environments. Demonstrated success leading teams and driving commercial performance in fast-paced settings.
Education
Secondary education or equivalent; retail management certification or relevant training is advantageous but not essential.
