Harrods is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the buying cycle for its Men’s Contemporary Designer department across store, online and airport channels, from product selection and order quantification to in-season trading and partner coordination. The role also coordinates PR, social media and editorial support for launches and events. This is a 10-month fixed-term contract, with hybrid working available subject to business needs and a minimum of three days on-site per week.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Buyer with product selection, order quantification and accurate product record maintenance.
- Attend buying appointments and prepare materials for brand meetings across store, online and airport channels.
- Manage in-season trading by analysing sales, negotiating re-orders and driving stock performance.
- Build strong relationships with concession partners and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of brand strategies.
- Coordinate PR, social media and editorial submissions for product launches and retail events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a buying role, ideally within luxury retail.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commercially minded and detail-oriented, with a passion for menswear and a strong understanding of the luxury retail landscape.
- Confident working with data and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders; proactive and well organised.
