Hamilton (Swatch Group) seeks a Visual Merchandiser & Trainer in New York, NY to lead East Coast visual strategy and retail training.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain consistent visual merchandising standards for Hamilton across the East Coast retail network.
- Design and execute seasonal window displays, in-store floor sets and shop-in-shop concepts that reflect brand positioning and product stories.
- Deliver formal training programs and on-the-job coaching to store teams and managers on VM procedures, display installation, storytelling and selling techniques.
- Conduct regular store visits and visual audits to ensure compliance with guidelines, capture best practices and provide corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with retail operations, wholesale and marketing to plan launch rollouts, promotional activations and visual calendars.
- Prepare visual kits, installation instructions and materials lists; coordinate logistics and supervise fixture installations and removals.
- Monitor KPIs related to merchandising effectiveness (sell-through, conversion uplift) and produce post-activation performance feedback.
- Manage relationships with third-party installers and regional partners, and control modest VM budgets for displays and materials.
Qualifications
- Proven track record (regional or national remit) in visual merchandising within fashion, accessories or premium watch retail.
- Demonstrated experience delivering training and coaching to frontline retail teams.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility with an eye for composition, proportion and product storytelling.
- Ability to travel frequently across the East Coast and to work flexible hours during installs and activations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; capacity to translate brand direction into retail execution.
- Proficiency with common creative tools and retail documentation (photo capture, installation plans, basic Excel).

Typically requires 3+ years of hands-on visual merchandising experience in luxury or premium retail, including delivering training to store teams and responsibility for multiple doors or a regional geography.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in visual merchandising, fashion, design, retail management or equivalent professional experience preferred.
