Hamilton seeks a Junior Product Manager in Bienne, Switzerland. Lead product development, design collaboration, and market launches within the luxury watchmaking industry.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of product lines according to the Head of Product Management's strategic planning
  • Participate in product design elaboration and technical specification
  • Establish development timelines and ensure adherence to project schedules
  • Consult and monitor suppliers; orchestrate convergence between design, production, and cost parameters
  • Negotiate component pricing in collaboration with the Procurement department
  • Establish and validate cost calculations and price structures
  • Oversee prototype manufacturing and quality assurance
  • Prepare technical documentation and specifications for internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate product launch initiatives in collaboration with Marketing and Sales departments
  • Develop product communication plans and marketing materials
  • Deliver internal and external product presentations; conduct product training sessions across subsidiaries
  • Monitor product line performance and analyze sales data in partnership with the Sales team
  • Contribute to the establishment of the Product Plan
  • Prepare and disseminate product datasheets and technical specifications
  • Organize internal training sessions for product education
  • Analyze market trends and competitive positioning

Qualifications

  • Federal commercial apprenticeship certificate (CFC) or equivalent
  • Higher education in marketing or product management
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in watchmaking, product development, or marketing
  • Proven experience in project management across multidisciplinary environments
  • Strong understanding of watchmaking technical issues and horological principles
  • Demonstrated interest in product marketing and brand positioning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong design sensibility and awareness of current design trends
  • Analytical and solution-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP knowledge considered advantageous

Experience

Federal commercial apprenticeship certificate (CFC) in retail/commerce, combined with higher education qualification in marketing, product management, or a related discipline.
