Guerlain seeks a Training Coordinator to lead the development and execution of comprehensive training strategies for retail teams across Italy. Reporting to the Retail & Education Manager, this role drives initiatives to enhance product knowledge and client service excellence within the Maison's distribution network. The Training Coordinator will develop tailored training calendars, implement deployment strategies aligned with local business objectives, establish performance KPIs, and manage Guerlain trainers while collaborating with commercial and marketing teams to deliver both foundational expertise and ongoing product innovation training.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as primary advocate and sponsor of the organization's training strategy, driving initiatives to enhance retail team capabilities aligned with local business objectives
- Develop comprehensive training calendars tailored to country needs, considering local market dynamics and seasonal variations
- Execute training programs effectively, ensuring timely delivery and maximum participation from retail staff across Italy
- Implement individual training paths for Guerlain retail teams and liaise with commercial and marketing teams to deliver adapted expertise programs and novelty training
- Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate training program effectiveness, providing insights into employee performance impact and business outcomes
- Engage with key stakeholders including retail leaders, HR professionals, and subject matter experts to align training efforts with country-specific objectives
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration to ensure synergy in training initiatives and maximize impact
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in training and development, driving innovation in training methodologies
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in training and development
- Proven experience delivering training programs, preferably within the cosmetics industry and/or luxury retail sector
- Advanced understanding of training methods and learning design principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Fluent in Italian and English; French language skills are advantageous
- Result-oriented with a strong retail mindset and deep understanding of luxury brand DNA
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills, including storytelling capability
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in training and development, with strong background in training delivery. Experience within the cosmetics industry and/or luxury retail sector is highly valued. Demonstrated success in designing and implementing training programs across multi-site operations is essential.
Education
Secondary education required; tertiary qualification in human resources, education, training & development, or related discipline is preferred.
Workplace
This position is based in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 45,000 per annum.
