Guerlain Trainer and Events Manager (part-time) in Capelle aan den IJssel, Netherlands. Manage training delivery and brand events across the Dutch market.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for internal retail teams and beauty consultants, covering fragrance, skincare, makeup, selling skills, client experience, and brand heritage
- Organize and lead training initiatives for external partners including key accounts such as ICI PARIS XL and Douglas, delivered across Guerlain facilities, partner locations, external venues, and digital platforms
- Create engaging training materials including presentations, product guides, workshop exercises, and e-learning content aligned with headquarters guidelines and annual strategy
- Plan, coordinate, and execute diverse brand events across the Netherlands, including PR events, masterclasses, and product activations
- Manage all logistical aspects of events including venue selection, catering coordination, guest management, and alignment with marketing teams and brand guidelines
- Oversee on-site event management to ensure seamless operations, excellence in execution, and prompt issue resolution
- Represent Guerlain's brand values and image at all times, embodying the house's DNA through exceptional grooming and a strong sense of luxury and service
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Merchandising, Digital, Product Management, Retail) and external partners to ensure successful delivery of training and brand events
- Monitor and administer allocated annual and per-event budgets for training and events, ensuring cost-effectiveness and strict adherence to financial guidelines
- Assess training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics, adapting programs to ensure continuous relevance and impact
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in training and event management within luxury retail, beauty, or fragrance sectors
- Exceptional presentation and public speaking abilities with capacity to engage and inspire diverse audiences
- Advanced organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in budget management and financial oversight
- Creative vision with meticulous attention to detail in delivering memorable brand experiences
- Valid driving license (Category B) with ability to travel frequently throughout the Netherlands
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Fluency in Dutch and English required; French language proficiency highly valued
- Deep passion for luxury beauty with comprehensive understanding of Guerlain's heritage and product portfolio
