The Retail Sales Manager develops Guerlain as a brand ambassador and manages the region’s points of sale, driving sell-out and market share. Responsibilities include merchandising, commercial agreement follow-up, store-team coordination, sales analysis and product training. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position based in the Basque Country.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Represent Guerlain as a brand ambassador at points of sale, communicating its values.
  • Maintain and enhance the brand’s in-store image, execute merchandising guidelines, and improve product placement.
  • Manage point-of-sale advertising materials for store events, ensuring timely and correct implementation.
  • Place tester orders for each store according to its potential.
  • Report on stock, sales and competitors as requested by the manager.
  • Coordinate and motivate store teams.
  • Plan visit schedules.
  • Work with sales representatives and other departments to achieve brand objectives in line with each retailer’s annual plan.
  • Monitor and report with each sales representative on compliance with commercial agreements reached by the brand.
  • Build in-depth knowledge of product benefits and features to train store teams, engage staff, and encourage use of the online training platform.
  • Deliver product training in line with the marketing plan to increase engagement with Guerlain and enable store teams to provide consumers with a better shopping experience.
  • Support product sales at points of sale agreed with clients during key commercial periods and launches, meeting promotional objectives and increasing the territory’s market share.

Qualifications

  • Degree or vocational qualification in Business Administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Good command of French; mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • At least 2 years of sales experience; luxury perfumery and cosmetics experience is valued.
  • Experience managing point-of-sale teams and achieving sales targets.
  • Dynamic, proactive, customer-focused commercial profile.
  • Negotiation and networking skills.
  • High degree of autonomy.
