Guerlain internship: 6-month Production Engineering role in Chartres, France. Support process optimization and continuous improvement at luxury cosmetics facility.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional working groups focused on process performance optimization using methodologies such as SMED and 5S
- Participate in continuous improvement projects addressing manufacturing inefficiencies including material overconsumption and micro-stoppages
- Support short-term operational initiatives emerging from daily workshop meetings, including procedure documentation, visual management implementation, team training, and technical problem analysis
- Collaborate with operators, technicians, short-term planning, quality, and safety teams to identify workshop improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bac +5 engineering program, ideally with specialization in Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement
- Practical, results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capability
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment with frequent team interactions
Skills
Experience
Entry-level or no prior professional experience required; academic exposure to manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement preferred.
Education
Currently pursuing a Bac +5 level engineering degree, with specialization in Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement ideally preferred.
