Guerlain in Chartres seeks a Packaging Industrialization Project Manager (CDI) to lead packaging launches, production trials and continuous improvement.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the industrialization schedule for new products and evolutions of core items, ensuring on-time readiness for Guerlain and B2B launch timelines.
  • Participate in feasibility studies, design reviews, technical meetings and AMDEC/FMEA sessions alongside packaging developers and packaging design/qualification engineers.
  • Assess industrial feasibility of marketing briefs in relation to line capabilities; perform technical/process risk analysis and implement associated corrective action plans.
  • Define and validate the production line and CCR range associated with each new product with the Responsible Unit/Product owner.
  • Specify required on-line investments (new modules, tooling, line modifications) with industrialization technicians, supervisors and technical management.
  • Set production standards and ensure availability of tooling and setup sheets for the workshop; maintain industrialization databases and finished-goods BOM data (components, quantities, scrap rates).
  • Coordinate line trials with short-term planning, quality and workshop teams: resource requirements, machine and component availability, trial reporting and provision of parts to related departments.
  • Support production start-ups, follow up corrective action plans and assist capacity subcontractors in packaging industrialization.
  • Manage the packaging industrialization budget and may supervise a team of industrialization technicians.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (PDCA), perform line transfers on request and support specification and qualification of new process investments; scout new packaging solutions and processes.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (Bac +5) or equivalent higher-education diploma.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in industrialization or packaging project management within cosmetics, perfumery, FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven project management capabilities with budget responsibility and coordination of cross-functional teams.
  • Solid technical knowledge of packaging, production line constraints and tooling requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, rigor, autonomy and capacity to synthesize technical information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, influencing ability and a collaborative team spirit.

Experience
