Guerlain — Paris: Makeup Trainer & Coach (full-time) to deliver retail and spa trainings, field coaching and masterclasses across France.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, prepare and deliver in-person and remote trainings, masterclasses and workshops on products, exclusive selling techniques, services and pedagogical activities for retail, distribution and spa teams across France.
- Lead advanced expertise trainings with a focus on makeup techniques and product knowledge; develop and adapt educational materials and PowerPoint presentations to launch priorities and briefs.
- Plan and animate training events (seasonal briefs, launch evenings, Christmas training briefs) and manage group dynamics to maximise engagement and learning outcomes.
- Conduct field coaching: observe selling ceremonies, refine service proposals and product presentation, deliver one-to-one coaching following Guerlain methodology, and provide concrete, business-oriented recommendations.
- Produce detailed post-session documentation and follow-up: attendance sheets, Q&A feedback, training reports and individualised coaching reports for managers and the Head of Retail Training.
- Manage logistical and organisational preparation of training sessions (room setup, gifting, product staging) and oversee the bi-monthly internal newsletter project including content conception and execution.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through post-session analysis to identify successes and areas for improvement; propose and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' professional experience in retail sales and training/coaching within the beauty or cosmetics sector, preferably in a luxury environment.
- Diploma or professional certification in makeup artistry that demonstrates technical mastery of makeup techniques.
- Fluent English and native or near-native French communication skills.
- Proven pedagogical skills with experience delivering both group trainings and individual coaching on the sales floor.
- Strong organisational skills, proactivity, autonomy, creativity and a collaborative team spirit.
- Customer-service orientation aligned with luxury-brand standards and a clear business focus (KPI-driven).
- Availability for regular travel across France.

Experience
At least 5 years of combined retail sales and training/coaching experience in the cosmetics or luxury beauty sector, with demonstrated results in improving in-store performance and KPI attainment.
Education
Diploma or professional certification in makeup artistry (makeup artist diploma) or equivalent accredited training.
