Guerlain seeks Makeup Group Manager in Paris to lead global marketing strategy, product innovation, and team of three. Luxury beauty role combining strategic vision with creative excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive marketing and business plans for all makeup franchises, ensuring alignment between brand vision and commercial objectives
- Lead creative and conceptual development: oversee conceptual writing, iconographic research, mood boards, aesthetic codes, and brand storytelling across all makeup lines
- Co-develop products in close collaboration with Research, Packaging, and Procurement teams from ideation through launch
- Orchestrate 360° campaigns: craft strategic and creative briefs for Art Direction, Merchandising, Communications, and Operational Marketing teams; supervise rigorous asset production and delivery
- Prepare and chair major international forums: present marketing plans, lead steering meetings, conduct annual budget reviews
- Animate and optimize the existing portfolio: monitor quantitative and qualitative performance, analyze profitability, manage discontinuations, and identify expansion opportunities
- Manage product line budgets with strategic discernment, allocating resources according to franchise priorities and market opportunities
- Conduct competitive and market analyses: track beauty trends, consumer needs, performance studies, sell-in metrics, and emerging market signals
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of three professionals; cultivate an environment that balances rigor, empathy, and creativity
- Support individual professional development and foster collective skills advancement
Qualifications
- Degree from a leading business school (Bac+5) or equivalent university qualification
- Minimum 10–12 years of experience in Marketing Development, ideally within luxury beauty with demonstrated expertise or strong interest in makeup
- Proven conceptual intelligence, refined visual sensibility, and natural ability to construct and communicate powerful brand narratives
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with method, autonomy, and proactive engagement
- Track record of anticipating weak signals in beauty, fashion, and art trends; ability to formulate forward-looking recommendations
- Recognized for persuasiveness, collaborative spirit, diplomatic approach, and excellent adaptability in complex international environments
- Professional-level fluency in both French and English, written and spoken
- In-depth knowledge of Asian markets, particularly China, is a significant asset

Minimum 10–12 years in Marketing Development, ideally within the luxury beauty sector with substantial makeup experience or demonstrated expertise in this category.
