Guerlain seeks Maintenance Technician in Chartres, France. Full-time CDI role maintaining production equipment in cosmetics facility.
Role & Responsibilities
- Guarantee equipment availability and operational performance against established production objectives
- Analyse equipment performance indicators, prioritise improvements, and execute continuous improvement projects autonomously
- Diagnose and perform corrective maintenance on production equipment, including installations, adjustments, upgrades, and component replacements
- Organize and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all assigned production equipment
- Update and maintain preventive maintenance documentation in coordination with the methods department; assume responsibility for technical documentation of the assigned perimeter
- Document maintenance interventions and technical reports for all machine maintenance records
- Audit machine parameters within the assigned perimeter (excluding ongoing production adjustments)
- Support commissioning of new equipment and recommend performance optimization opportunities
- Coordinate new product integration onto production lines in partnership with industrialisation services to ensure target performance levels from series launch; contribute to process improvements following new launches
- Train line operators and machine technicians on autonomous maintenance, fault analysis, and diagnostic tool usage
Qualifications
- BTS MS (formerly MI), BTS Électrotechnique, DUT GIM or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years' production site experience, ideally in cosmetics, food processing, pharmaceuticals, or automotive sectors
- Proficiency in mechanics, fluid mechanics, pneumatics, electrical systems, industrial vision systems, and industrial robotics
- Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, problem-solving approaches, and reliability engineering
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years in a production facility environment, preferably within cosmetics, food processing, pharmaceuticals, or automotive manufacturing. Prior experience in continuous improvement initiatives, reliability projects, and structured problem-solving methodologies is highly valued.
Education
Baccalaureate in BTS MS (formerly BTS MI), BTS Électrotechnique, DUT GIM, or equivalent technical qualification.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Chartres, Centre-Val de Loire, France, with easy access to Paris.
