Guerlain seeks an Inventory Manager in Chartres, France. Lead warehouse operations and a team managing stock flows for fragrance and cosmetics manufacturing.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and animate the warehouse team, ensuring productivity, professional development, and a positive working environment
  • Oversee reception and documentation of components, raw materials, and subcontracted goods, including lot registration and allocation to quality control and laboratory services
  • Manage the storage platform and coordinate inventory flows to maintain accuracy and efficiency
  • Organize the preparation of raw materials and components according to specified batches and standard lead times
  • Coordinate shipment of finished products and verify conformance of accompanying documentation, reconciling physical and theoretical container flows
  • Execute disposal procedures for expired or defective products with full administrative documentation
  • Conduct regular SAP supervision reviews to identify and correct anomalies affecting warehouse operations
  • Oversee rolling inventory activities and ensure accuracy of all inventory records
  • Procure non-production warehouse supplies while maintaining budget discipline and achieving optimal quality-to-price ratios
  • Participate in defining and implementing workplace safety protocols, inspect and maintain handling equipment and associated machinery to safety standards, and report hazards
  • Monitor and escalate environmental compliance issues, coordinate team training on sustainability practices, and contribute to environmental performance improvements
  • Develop and apply quality procedures in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, inform the Quality Manager of non-conformities, and implement quality enhancement measures

Qualifications

  • Tertiary education in logistics or supply chain management
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in logistics operations
  • Minimum 2 years of confirmed team management experience
  • Proficiency with SAP or equivalent enterprise resource planning systems
  • Strong command of computer applications and business software
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organisational rigor
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and proactive mindset
  • Ability to adapt and collaborate across multiple departments and complex projects
