Guerlain Inventory and Logistics Manager in Chartres, France. Lead warehouse operations and oversee inventory flows for luxury fragrance and cosmetics manufacturing.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4 supervisors and 19 materials handlers across three shifts
  • Manage all inbound and outbound inventory flows for the manufacturing site and coordinate with external storage partners
  • Monitor and optimize key performance indicators for the inventory and logistics department
  • Analyze and forecast capacity and workload requirements to inform medium and long-term organizational planning
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and authorize capital expenditures
  • Oversee procurement processes, equipment selection, and investment in warehouse infrastructure including racking systems, handling equipment, and ancillary facilities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including digitalization of processes, development of business intelligence tools, and automation of reporting systems
  • Collaborate closely with production teams, quality assurance, procurement, and external logistics partners to optimize operations

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent qualification in logistics management, or extensive professional experience in the field
  • Minimum 5 years of significant management experience in warehouse, inventory, and logistics operations
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and external partners effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with focus on continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and capacity to maintain positive workplace culture while being decisive when required
  • SAP or equivalent enterprise resource planning system experience (preferred)
