Guerlain is hiring a General Accounting Manager for a permanent, full-time, on-site role at its Paris headquarters. The role oversees general accounting, financial and tax reporting, continuous improvement and transformation projects, while managing a team and coordinating with finance departments, auditors and tax authorities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and review of general accounting in accordance with local standards and IFRS.
- Ensure the quality, reliability and completeness of the accounts, including the balance sheet and income statement.
- Meet monthly, quarterly and annual closing deadlines.
- Analyze accounts, including analytical reviews and cash flow reporting.
- Prepare the annual accounts and management report.
- Prepare and validate tax returns and filings, including VAT, CFE, CVAE, C3S, tax packages and transfer pricing, in coordination with advisors and/or the Group.
- Oversee the management and review of expense reports in accordance with internal procedures and regulations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting and closing practices.
- Contribute to accounting and finance transformation projects, including digitalization, automation and process changes within the role’s scope.
- Manage, lead and develop a general accounting team comprising one permanent employee and one work-study employee.
- Coordinate with other finance departments, including accounts payable and receivable, treasury, credit management and management control.
- Serve as the main contact for internal and external auditors and the tax authorities.
Qualifications
- Higher education qualification in accounting, management or finance, such as a DCG, DSCG, Master CCA or business school degree.
- Significant experience in general accounting, ideally gained in a company or an accounting and audit firm.
- Interest in digitalization, automation and the optimization of accounting processes.
- Ability to manage a team, coordinate cross-functional relationships and oversee external contacts.
