Guerlain seeks a General Accountant in Paris, France for a full-time permanent role supporting accounting operations and financial close procedures.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute entry, reconciliation, and review of accounting entries in accordance with local standards and IFRS requirements
  • Participate in the justification and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures within established timelines
  • Prepare documentation for tax filings (VAT, corporate income tax, and other taxes) in coordination with the department head
  • Oversee review and processing of expense reports in compliance with internal procedures and tax regulations
  • Participate in cross-functional accounting and financial projects, including digitalization and automation initiatives
  • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of internal procedures and control frameworks
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and daily practices
  • Collaborate closely with accounting team members and coordinate with other finance departments (cash management, management accounting) on relevant matters
  • Prepare and provide documentation during internal and external audit reviews

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) to Master's degree (Bac+5) in accounting, finance, or management (DCG, DSCG, Master's in Accounting and Management Control, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting practices or within an accounting firm
  • Strong command of local accounting standards; familiarity with IFRS preferred
  • Proficiency with SAP highly advantageous
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams
  • Intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous professional development
  • Rigorous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and consistent meeting of deadlines
  • Proactive approach to identifying and escalating discrepancies
