Role & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive training curricula for Beauty Ambassadors and Fragrance Experts, aligning annual training calendars with marketing activities and HQ guidelines.
  • Deliver engaging training across modalities (in‑person workshops, webinars, on‑the‑job coaching), including expert Master Classes and Guerlain Academy modules.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and digital learning content, and support upkeep of digital platforms such as Be Guerlain.
  • Assess training effectiveness and individual performance; run assessments for the Expert programme and tailor interventions to close skill gaps.
  • Conduct strategic counter visits to coach sales teams, advise Counter Managers on counter management, and support retail activations and on‑site events.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Digital and Sales teams and retail partners to ensure consistent brand messaging and to integrate product launches into training.
  • Manage the fragrance training budget, track expenses, and oversee onboarding programmes for new hires.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in training and development, ideally within fragrance or cosmetics and luxury retail environments.
  • Proven ability to design curricula and deliver adult learning programmes, including Master Classes and on‑the‑job coaching.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with demonstrated public‑speaking confidence.
  • Strong organisational, project‑management and time‑management capabilities.
  • Proven customer service orientation and ability to translate commercial objectives into practical selling behaviours.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with Marketing, Sales and Retail partners.
  • Japanese: business/native level (JLPT N1). English: business‑level (TOEIC ~650 or TOEFL iBT ~71).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort using digital learning tools.

Experience

At least 5 years of progressive experience in L&D or retail training within the fragrance, beauty or luxury retail sectors, including hands‑on counter coaching, event support and programme management.

Education
