Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct regular technical surveillance rounds across facility systems
• Operate and monitor heating systems (comfort and steam), compressors, water production, electrical distribution, sprinkler systems, treatment plants, and ventilation units
• Perform level 1 and 2 maintenance on ventilation units, water networks, and automatic doors
• Manage salt inventory and distribution for water softeners and de-icing operations
• Process and respond to maintenance requests from services relating to buildings and furnishings
• Execute repairs and refurbishment work on-site covering electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and painting tasks
• Oversee third-party contractor interventions with focus on safety and quality control
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of social spaces and external grounds
• Support general services teams in preparing rooms for events and receptions
• Monitor on-site technical contractors and service providers
• Apply all safety protocols including fire permit management and risk prevention plans
• Ensure fire safety system functionality and perform weekly testing procedures
• Manage snow removal and de-icing of site roadways during winter conditions
• Strictly adhere to procedures, hygiene standards, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements
• Document and track all interventions in the computerized maintenance management system (GMAO) and logbooks

Qualifications

• Technical secondary school diploma in building maintenance or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrated practical knowledge in mechanical systems
• Demonstrated practical knowledge in electrical systems
• Demonstrated practical knowledge in plumbing systems
• Demonstrated practical knowledge in carpentry and joinery
• Understanding of industrial facilities operations
• Knowledge of GMP and manufacturing environment safety protocols
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty schedules

Skills

Experience

Entry-level or limited experience in facilities or building maintenance preferred; willingness to learn and develop technical expertise under supervision is essential.

Education

Baccalauréat professionnel (vocational secondary diploma) in building maintenance or equivalent technical qualification.
