Guerlain seeks a Data Product Owner in Paris for a 4–6 month contract to lead data strategy and customer engagement initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Identify business requirements across CRM, Marketing, Digital, and Customer Service functions, and evaluate data-driven business opportunities
- Define and prioritize the data product roadmap, ensuring alignment between business strategy, data architecture, and customer engagement objectives
- Maximize the value of first-party data and drive its cross-functional exploitation across the organization
- Promote a data-driven culture through internal teams, regional offices, and markets via analytics, reporting, and strategic support
- Design data products from conceptualization through deployment
- Mentor a Data Scientist in the development of machine learning algorithms
- Co-develop customer segments, scoring models, and engagement use cases
- Monitor product performance, ensure continuous optimization, and govern the complete lifecycle of data products
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Data Quality, IT, and CRM teams to maintain ecosystem coherence
- Contribute to data governance frameworks including ownership models, standards, and security protocols
- Participate in the selection and integration of data and CRM solutions within the existing architecture
- Ensure operational continuity through incident management, remediation prioritization, and stakeholder communication
- Supervise a Data Analyst intern in their analytics and reporting assignments
Qualifications
- Degree from a top-tier engineering or business school, or equivalent qualification in statistics or data science
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data project management, preferably within luxury or retail sectors
- Dual competency in data and CRM/operational disciplines
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, including Agile frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate, and manage project risks

Education
Degree from a top-tier engineering school, business school (Top 10), or equivalent qualification in statistics or data science.
