Guerlain seeks a Business Manager at Selfridges Manchester Exchange, UK — full-time role leading the luxury beauty counter and team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Guerlain counter team at Selfridges Manchester Exchange to deliver exceptional luxury service and achieve commercial objectives.
- Set, communicate and review individual and collective sales targets; monitor performance and implement corrective actions to maximise sales.
- Prepare, collate and submit sales reports and counter administration to head office and line management by required deadlines.
- Manage merchandising and basic stock levels on the counter to company visual and retail guidelines.
- Proactively identify and promote in-store activations and events to drive traffic and conversions.
- Recruit, onboard and appraise team members; provide regular coaching, performance reviews and development feedback.
- Handle customer complaints discreetly and effectively, ensuring service recovery and long-term client loyalty.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store management and internal head office teams; ensure adherence to store and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in retail management within prestige cosmetics, fragrance or luxury beauty.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a department-store or boutique environment.
- Demonstrable people management experience: recruitment, coaching, appraisal and performance management.
- Excellent communication and clienteling skills, with the ability to represent the brand as an ambassador at all times.
- Strong organisational and numeracy skills for accurate reporting and counter administration.

At least 3 years' experience managing beauty or fragrance counters or small retail teams in a prestige/department-store environment, with a proven record of driving sales and developing staff.
Education
Secondary education or equivalent; professional qualifications in retail, cosmetics/beauty or sales management are advantageous.
