Guerlain — Beauty Advisor (Intern/Part-time) in Nanning, China. Hourly-paid cosmetics retail role located at the MixC shopping centre.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain counter presentation and hygiene: clean tester bottle nozzles, wipe and tidy the counter surface, and return misplaced testers to their positions.
- Perform scheduled fragrance misting of the counter (every 30 minutes) and ensure all merchandising materials (paper bags, ribbons) are organised and prepared.
- Support inventory activities and general back-of-counter housekeeping.
- Welcome and engage customers: greet visitors, distribute fragrance strips, invite clients to the counter, offer water and seating when appropriate.
- Assist beauty advisors with sales service tasks including guiding clients to advisors, packaging gift boxes, and handing out samples after QR-code engagement.
- Proactively manage customer flow when advisors are occupied by using simple courtesy language to avoid customer wait-time discomfort.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled student (university/college) — student/trainee status required.
- Genuine interest in cosmetics and fragrance and an eagerness to deepen product knowledge.
- Outgoing, honest, and comfortable with customer-facing interaction.
- Strong service orientation, reliable execution, and ability to assimilate into a boutique retail team quickly.
- Resilient under pressure and able to maintain composure in a busy retail environment.
Skills
Experience
No prior professional experience is required; previous retail or beauty counter experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Currently enrolled student (university/college).
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Nanning, Guangxi, China.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CNY 25 to CNY 40 per hour.
