Guerlain is hiring an Area Sales Manager (CDD) in the Paris region to drive sell-out, merchandising and store partnerships across assigned territories.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive sell-out and achieve sales targets for the assigned territory, implementing directives from the France sales leadership.
  • Plan and conduct in-store selling days according to the regional calendar and ensure required visit frequency for non-selling days.
  • Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with retail partners and store teams to animate the brand in-distribution (challenges, co-managed activations, merchandising initiatives).
  • Execute business reviews at each store visit; analyse point-of-sale performance (sell-out, market share, ranking by axis, stock, average basket) and propose corrective actions.
  • Ensure product availability for launches and best-sellers; escalate and monitor stock shortages.
  • Train and coach store teams on new launches, best-sellers and the Maison’s DNA to maximise conversion and brand representation.
  • Apply and enforce Guerlain merchandising standards (planograms, visual displays) to deliver a zero-defect in-store experience.
  • Define local actions with the Regional Director and implement them to ensure measurable business impact across the sector.

Qualifications

  • Proven commercial orientation with demonstrable sales results and customer focus.
  • First successful professional experience in specialised retail or wholesale distribution (field or store-facing role preferred).
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to present business reviews concisely and influence retail partners.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan territory activity and prioritise effectively.
  • Negotiation skills and capacity to propose and implement commercial activations.
  • Driver’s license (permit B) and willingness to travel across assigned departments; availability for selling days on Fridays and Saturdays.

Experience

Entry-level to junior candidate with at least one successful professional experience in specialised retail distribution or a similar store-facing commercial role; experience in beauty or luxury retail is advantageous. Must be mobile across the listed departments and available for selling days on Friday and Saturday.

Education

High-school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or tertiary studies in commerce/retail/marketing preferred but not mandatory.
