Gucci seeks an experienced Womenswear Collection Merchandising Manager in Milan to oversee ready-to-wear assortment planning and strategy.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define collection structure and analyze selling trends in coordination with the Merchandising Director and Design team
  • Monitor competitive landscape and consolidate regional business trend inputs to identify new category opportunities
  • Contribute to master order activities and assortment planning for Retail and Wholesale to ensure balanced global product mix aligned with market needs
  • Coordinate collection advancements with the product development office on an ongoing basis
  • Organize sales campaigns and produce supporting materials and buying tools
  • Develop coherent pricing and margin strategy for each collection whilst establishing target cost prices and grid frameworks
  • Manage operational activities including code creation, product photography coordination, special order follow-up, and collection lifecycle management
  • Create and continuously update reliable sales analyses of product information for key stakeholders, encompassing both sell-in and sell-out data
  • Collaborate with internal departments on collection presentation to customers, providing strategic insights on product marketability and category positioning
  • Support the Training department in developing product training manuals and presentations with detailed collection information for regional buyers
  • Define markdown lists and manage product lifecycle strategy

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience as a senior merchandiser in fashion or luxury goods
  • Educational background in business management or equivalent discipline
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong product sensitivity and demonstrated passion for womenswear ready-to-wear category
  • Excellent communicative skills to liaise effectively with departments with diverse communication needs
  • Flexible mindset and adaptive personality
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication capabilities
  • Ambition to exceed corporate goals and consistently demonstrate commitment to excellence
  • Proficiency in managing multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment

Experience

Education

Educational qualification in business management, fashion merchandising, supply chain management, or a related discipline is preferred.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position is EUR 55,000 per annum.
