Gucci seeks Tech Data & Analytics Senior Manager in Shanghai to lead data governance and visualization across China operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee data visualization strategy and best practices supporting business growth across China data domains
- Translate business use cases into efficient, scalable dashboard solutions
- Establish and maintain China data governance frameworks aligned with global standards
- Lead and prioritize major data requests across retail, finance, consumer engagement, communications, and logistics domains
- Guide end-to-end workstream delivery including inception, technical design, development, testing, and deployment of data and analytics solutions
- Participate in project estimation and resource planning processes
- Conduct functional business process analysis and develop business cases supporting process optimization and IT initiatives
- Navigate China's data ecosystem, implementing consolidation and mapping strategies to break down data silos
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate both internal teams and third-party vendor relationships
Qualifications
- Proven experience in data governance and visualization leadership within a multinational organization
- Deep expertise in relational databases and SQL programming
- Advanced knowledge of business intelligence tools, particularly Knime and Tableau
- Understanding of non-relational and Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, and NoSQL
- Familiarity with China's data ecosystem and regulatory environment
- Project management and stakeholder alignment experience
Skills
Experience
Senior-level experience in data analytics and governance, ideally within luxury retail, fashion, or multinational FMCG environments. Demonstrated track record leading cross-functional teams and delivering enterprise-scale data solutions. Exposure to Asian markets, particularly China's regulatory and data consolidation landscape, is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or equivalent field. Advanced certifications in data management, business intelligence platforms, or project management are preferred.
