Gucci Team Manager position in Troy — lead luxury retail sales team, drive client experience, manage staff of Client Advisors.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the team to execute superior client experiences with hospitality and elevated service standards
- Capture meaningful client data and develop clienteling strategies to build relationships and drive client loyalty and acquisition
- Monitor Client Advisor performance and develop daily, weekly, and monthly action plans to ensure clienteling excellence
- Lead and support company-driven local events and product launches, ensuring client attendance and sales targets are achieved
- Model the Gucci selling ceremony on the selling floor and manage client flow to ensure exceptional service delivery
- Manage and resolve client service issues to retain and enrich customer relationships
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of local competition and market trends
- Provide consistent coaching and feedback to Client Advisors using the Training Follow-up App to ensure ongoing development and high engagement
- Conduct annual Performance and Development Conversations with direct reports and lead regular monthly performance discussions
- Lead engaging morning briefings using varied facilitation techniques to deliver business communications and daily objectives
- Develop cross-category selling focus, ensuring the team can sell all product categories across all floors
- Participate in attracting and recruiting new talent through behavioral-based interviews and competition headhunting
- Ensure effective and timely onboarding for new team members
- Manage employee relations matters in partnership with Store Managers and People Partners
- Monitor team adherence to company policies and procedures
- Analyze store KPIs, RED metrics, and people KPIs; partner with the Store Manager to provide recommendations and actionable improvement plans
- Provide feedback to Store Managers and Merchandising team on products, stock levels, and category requests
- Ensure Client Advisors develop full product knowledge while maintaining awareness of market trends and competitors
- Utilize digital platforms to support store and online product sales
- Oversee tracking of all special orders through merchandising communication
- Collaborate with Operations, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, and cross-functional departments while enforcing company policies
- Plan and liaise with Store Managers to schedule FTE according to team capabilities and traffic flow
- Allocate tasks and delegate effectively based on individual abilities
- Support and maintain visual merchandising standards set by global headquarters
- Maintain full organization of company assets in back and front of house per stock guidelines
- Support and execute product handling, transactions, payment processes, and general store administration
- Support opening and closing procedures as Manager on Duty, providing leadership and guidance to all staff on shift
- Optimize stock and inventory management, monitoring and reporting any risks
- Ensure adherence to all key health, safety, and security protocols in partnership with Store Managers
Qualifications
- 4+ years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or service-related industry
- High degree of ethics, professionalism, and integrity with ability to inspire trust and influence a team
- Proven ability to drive positive client experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable results
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Industry awareness and strong business acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational abilities
- Passion for the fashion industry
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Experience
4+ years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or service-related industry
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
