Gucci Team Manager role in Oak Brook, Illinois—lead retail sales team, drive luxury client experiences, and manage store operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire team to deliver exceptional client experiences with elevated hospitality and service standards
- Capture meaningful client data and utilize clienteling tools to drive client loyalty and acquisition
- Lead clienteling activities and develop action plans to reach clear goals and KPIs
- Monitor Client Advisor performance and ensure excellence in daily, weekly, and monthly clienteling execution
- Lead and support company-driven local events and product launches with focus on client attendance and sales results
- Model the Gucci selling ceremony on the selling floor by example
- Manage client flow to ensure everyone receives exceptional service and manage client service issues to retain relationships
- Work on the selling floor maintaining constant contact with team, supporting and coaching where needed, and ensuring consistent client experience
- Provide regular feedback and support to Client Advisors using the Training Follow-up App to ensure ongoing development and engagement
- Lead annual Performance and Development Conversations with direct reports
- Conduct regular and monthly performance conversations to discuss results, opportunities, and develop action plans
- Lead engaging morning briefings with key business communication and daily objectives
- Develop and lead cross-category focus across all floors
- Participate in recruiting new team members through behavioral-based interviews and talent pipeline management
- Ensure effective, holistic, and timely onboarding for new team members
- Manage and resolve employee relations matters in partnership with Store Managers and People Partners
- Monitor team adherence to company policies and procedures
- Monitor performance of assigned categories and all store KPIs, proactively proposing action plans to reach targets
- Maximize time on selling floor to motivate team members using effective selling techniques as a role model
- Analyze store results (KPIs, revenue, people metrics) and partner with Store Manager to provide recommendations and improvement plans
- Partner with Store Managers and Merchandising team providing feedback on products, stock, and category requests
- Partner with Store Managers and Training team to ensure Client Advisors develop full product knowledge and awareness of market trends and competitors
- Utilize digital platforms to support store and online product sales
- Oversee and support tracking of all special orders through merchandising communication
- Collaborate with Operations, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, and other departments while enforcing all company policies and procedures
- Plan and liaise with Store Managers to schedule FTE according to team member capabilities and traffic flow for appropriate coverage
- Effectively allocate tasks and delegate responsibilities based on individual abilities
- Support and maintain visual merchandising standards set by worldwide headquarters
- Maintain full organization of company assets in back of house and front of house per stock guidelines
- Support and execute product handling, transactions, payment processes, and general store administration
- Support opening and closing of store as Manager on Duty providing leadership and guidance to all Client Advisors on shift
- Optimize stock and inventory management, monitoring and reporting of any risks
- Ensure optimal and consistent adherence to all key health, safety, and security aspects with Store Managers
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of local competition, prospects, and stay connected to local trends and evolution
Qualifications
- 4+ years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or service-related industry
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
- High degree of ethics, professionalism, integrity, and ability to inspire trust and influence a team
- Proven ability to drive positive client experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable results
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Industry awareness and strong business acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
- Passion for the fashion industry
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Experience
4+ years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or service-related industry
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to USD 95,000 per annum.
