Gucci is hiring a Team Manager in New York to lead the sales floor, clienteling and a high-performing retail team. Salary range: $95,000–$105,000.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the sales team on the selling floor, modelling the Gucci selling ceremony and ensuring a consistent, elevated client experience.
  • Coach Client Advisors in real time through behavioural observation and structured feedback to drive individual performance and category KPIs.
  • Manage clienteling activity: capture and analyse client data, deploy clienteling tools and lead in-store prospecting and loyalty initiatives to increase acquisition and retention.
  • Own sales performance for assigned categories: monitor KPIs, propose and implement action plans in partnership with the Store Manager and Merchandising team.
  • Recruit, onboard and retain top retail talent through behavioural interviews, talent pipelining and robust onboarding programmes.
  • Coordinate local events and product launches to ensure client attendance, seamless execution and targeted sales outcomes.
  • Ensure operational excellence: oversee stock and asset organisation, special order tracking, store opening/closing as Manager on Duty, and adherence to health, safety and loss-prevention procedures.
  • Run engaging team briefings and development conversations (annual performance & development reviews, monthly performance follow-ups) to promote career development and engagement.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, HR, Loss Prevention and Training to optimise store performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail or a service-related industry.
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable clienteling and sales results while building long-term client relationships.
  • High degree of ethics, professionalism and the ability to inspire trust and influence a diverse team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organisational capability and business acumen.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Experience

At least four years of progressive sales management experience within retail or luxury retail environments, with demonstrable success in team leadership, clienteling and achieving category KPIs.
