Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the sales team to deliver superior client experiences with elevated hospitality and exceptional service
- Capture meaningful client data and manage clienteling activities to build relationships, drive client loyalty, and develop prospect opportunities
- Effectively utilize clienteling tools and lead team activities to achieve clear goals and key performance indicators
- Monitor Client Advisor performance and develop daily, weekly, and monthly plans to ensure clienteling excellence
- Lead and support company-driven local events and product launches to ensure client attendance and sales targets are met
- Lead by example on the selling floor in embracing the Gucci selling ceremony and managing client flow for exceptional service delivery
- Manage and resolve client service issues with a focus on retaining and enriching client relationships
- Model Gucci image through appropriate wardrobe and presence as per company grooming guidelines
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of the local market, competition, prospects, and trends in the store's area
- Work on the selling floor while maintaining constant contact with the team, providing real-time support, coaching, and feedback to ensure consistent client experience
- Provide regular feedback and behavioral observations to Client Advisors using training follow-up tools to ensure ongoing development and high motivation
- Lead annual performance and development conversations with direct reports, inspiring career discussions and quality exchanges
- Conduct regular and monthly performance conversations to discuss results, opportunities, and develop actionable improvement plans
- Lead engaging morning briefings using varied facilitation techniques to deliver key business communications and daily objectives
- Develop and lead cross-category focus initiatives to ensure the team can and does sell all product categories across all floors
- Participate in attracting and recruiting new team members through behavioral-based interviews and talent pipeline development
- Ensure effective, holistic, and timely onboarding for all new team members
- Manage and resolve employee relations matters in partnership with Store Managers and People Partners
- Monitor team adherence to company policies and procedures, following up as needed
- Monitor performance of assigned product categories and store KPIs, proposing proactive action plans to reach targets
- Maximize time on the shop floor motivating team members and modeling effective selling techniques
- Analyze store results including KPIs, revenue metrics, and people metrics, partnering with Store Management to provide recommendations and improvement plans
- Partner with Store Managers and the Merchandising team to provide feedback on products, stock situations, and category-specific requests
- Partner with Store Managers and Training team to ensure Client Advisors develop full product knowledge while maintaining awareness of market trends and competitors
- Utilize digital platforms to support store and online product sales
- Oversee and support tracking of all special orders through merchandising communication
- Collaborate with Operations, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, and cross-functional departments while adhering to all company policies
- Plan and coordinate with Store Managers to schedule full-time equivalent staffing according to team capabilities and traffic flow to ensure appropriate coverage
- Effectively allocate tasks and activities based on team abilities and delegate effectively
- Support and maintain visual merchandising standards as set by worldwide headquarters
- Maintain full organization of company assets in back and front of house per stock guidelines
- Support and execute product handling, transactions, payment processes, and general store administration
- Support opening and closing of the store as Manager on Duty, providing leadership and guidance to all Client Advisors on shift
- Optimize stock and inventory management, ensuring monitoring and reporting of any risks
- Ensure optimal and consistent adherence to all key health, safety, and security aspects with Store Managers
Qualifications
- 4+ years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or service-related industries
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
- High degree of ethics, professionalism, integrity, and ability to inspire trust and influence a team
- Proven ability to drive positive client experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable results
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, luxury retail environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Industry awareness and strong business acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational abilities
- Passion for the fashion industry and luxury brands
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Skills
Experience
4+ years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or service-related industry is required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading teams, driving measurable sales results, building client loyalty through personalized service delivery, and managing operational excellence in a fast-paced luxury retail environment.
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
