Gucci Store Manager position in Cape Town, South Africa. Lead retail operations, drive sales, and manage a high-performing team in this luxury retail leadership role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive and maximize sales performance to consistently achieve overall sales budget objectives while ensuring operational integrity and monitoring monthly profitability
- Demonstrate sales leadership through active floor presence and customer engagement, with personal focus on top-tier clients and achieving annual mystery shop goals
- Manage and communicate with key business departments to optimize stock levels, maximize full-price selling, and align with new product launches
- Train and educate all associates on current collection knowledge, brand pillars, and seasonal strategy through partnerships with internal departments
- Communicate company KPIs and develop strategies to ensure performance standards are consistently met
- Develop and implement business action plans to enhance sales across product categories and client segments
- Lead the team in establishing client relationships, organizing local events, and supporting product launches to drive attendance and sales results
- Conduct monthly coaching and performance review sessions with associates; oversee annual review process and set employee development goals
- Attract, recruit, and retain high-performing team members; build talent pipeline through networking and competitive analysis
- Ensure consistent, branded onboarding experiences for all new hires and manage staff allocation and scheduling
- Manage client retention and development through top-client strategies and personalized engagement
- Utilize CRM initiatives to capture meaningful customer data and drive personalized client development opportunities
- Monitor monthly store performance and expense management; maintain operating budget while reducing overall costs
- Comply with loss prevention protocols, cycle counts, incident reporting, and inventory reconciliations to maintain shrinkage below company targets
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure full organization of company assets per headquarters guidelines
- Proactively monitor fashion trends, industry developments, and competitor activities in the marketplace
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or service-related industry
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred)
- Advanced English proficiency
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proven ability to analyze selling reports and identify business trends
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational abilities
- Demonstrated track record of driving positive customer experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable results

Experience
Minimum 4 years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or service-related industry. Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams, drive sales results, and manage complex store operations in a fast-paced environment.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
