The Store Manager leads Gucci’s overall boutique operations, developing sales and optimising performance against commercial objectives while representing the house and its values. The role oversees team management, client experience, financial and sales KPIs, CRM, visual standards, stock, inventory and cash operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage the boutique’s overall operations, develop sales and optimise results in line with Gucci’s commercial objectives.
  • Represent Gucci and its values as a brand ambassador, and guide the team as its point of reference.
  • Oversee boutique premises, property and personnel, including logistics, maintenance and security.
  • Train the team on Gucci’s heritage and culture, product knowledge and selling techniques; broaden their knowledge and develop their skills.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Administer personnel matters in collaboration with Human Resources, including working hours, absences, leave and schedules.
  • Organise team members’ work, manage deadlines and ensure procedures are followed.
  • Manage schedules, including tracking annual leave, RTT and time off in lieu.
  • Participate in recruiting team members with Human Resources and inform management of training needs.
  • Support boutique operations during temporary peaks in workload, including welcoming clients, tidying and minor maintenance.
  • Optimise sales and meet or exceed the boutique’s financial targets by monitoring commercial indicators and KPIs, including conversion rate, average transaction value and units per transaction.
  • Analyse financial reports and make appropriate adjustments to increase sales and profitability.
  • Ensure CRM initiatives are properly implemented and procedures followed to develop and maintain the boutique’s client database.
  • Make recommendations to the Visual Merchandising team on the boutique’s needs.
  • Monitor stock, shrinkage and losses.
  • Manage payroll costs by monitoring boutique employees’ hours and labour costs, and adapting activity to economic conditions.
  • Create a dynamic environment and compelling sales experience for clients by engaging and training employees effectively.
  • Act as an intermediary between the boutique and management, and between key departments.
  • Communicate previous-day results and quantitative and qualitative targets to managers, and coach teams to achieve daily objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative environment and constructive communication among team members.
  • Deliver an exceptional in-store experience by responding to client needs and building loyalty.
  • Ensure products are presented in keeping with Gucci’s visual identity, conveying the Gucci story and engaging clients.
  • Oversee execution of in-store visual standards in line with visual merchandising guidelines.
  • Plan and supervise all inventory preparation.
  • Manage stock through careful receipt and dispatch of merchandise, completing required documentation in accordance with price-change and labelling procedures.
  • Maintain sufficient stock on the sales floor by monitoring replenishment.
  • Participate in stock management, including receiving and checking deliveries and organising the stockroom.
  • Prepare and package products before checkout, process sales transactions and ensure payment accuracy.
