Gucci seeks a Store Director in San Diego to lead luxury retail operations, client experience, and team management. Salary $130,000–$140,000 USD.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the store with an entrepreneurial mindset, accountable for sales results, people development and growth, client experience, and store operations
  • Drive superior client-centric service and after-sales experiences to achieve consistent high client satisfaction scores
  • Promote brand awareness and market presence through community outreach and company-sponsored events
  • Foster collaboration across the store to execute coherent clienteling-related activities and training programs
  • Oversee development and implementation of CRM initiatives, guiding the team to devise and execute effective client development strategies
  • Partner with the Client Engagement team to leverage business development opportunities through a top-client retention strategy
  • Manage client flow on the selling floor to ensure all clients are addressed with exceptional service delivery
  • Coach and resolve client service issues to retain and enrich client relationships

  • Drive sales performance to consistently achieve targets and KPIs while ensuring operational integrity and monthly profitability
  • Devise and drive collaborative initiatives to capitalize on first-mover advantages and seize market opportunities
  • Demonstrate active sales leadership on the selling floor, coordinating front-of-house and back-of-house activities and engaging with top clients
  • Manage stock levels to maximize full-price selling and maintain high sell-through aligned with new product launches
  • Ensure rollout of training priorities across all managers and training staff, educating teams on brand pillars and seasonal strategy
  • Guide the team to consistently drive company-set KPIs through strategic planning and corrective action when performance standards are not met
  • Allocate staff resources and schedules effectively to drive sales and maintain high client service standards
  • Adhere to and oversee company policies and procedures including Operations, People, and Security
  • Manage communication with key business departments regarding stock levels to maximize full-price selling and sell-through rates
  • Comply with Loss Prevention audits, monthly cycle counts, incident reporting, and inventory reconciliations to maintain shrinkage below company targets
  • Provide accurate monthly schedules and timely payroll records for all employees
  • Oversee incoming and outbound merchandise requests and shipments
  • Support and monitor After Sales services in the store
  • Maintain Visual Merchandising standards set by the Global VM team
  • Ensure optimal and consistent adherence to health, safety, and security protocols
  • Maintain company assets in accordance with back-of-house and front-of-house guidelines
  • Represent the Gucci image through appropriate wardrobe and presence per company grooming standards and ensure team adherence

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of sales management experience in retail, luxury retail, or service-related industry
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • High degree of ethics, professionalism, integrity, and ability to inspire trust and influence teams
  • Proven ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and react quickly to business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to drive positive client experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable results
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Industry awareness, commercial knowledge, and strong business and financial acumen
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent organizational abilities
  • Passion for the fashion industry
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Experience
